Top AmeriCorps Program

“I knew about the Peace Corps for almost all my life but I did not know if I had the determination and strength for it. When I discovered City Year it was not only an opportunity for me to give back, but also to see how I could handle similar situations in the U.S. that Peace Corps Volunteers might face in classrooms around the world.”

William Frankel, City Year New Orleans ‘11

Now more than ever, our nation is looking to young people like you to help solve some of the biggest challenges in education.

Across our 29 U.S. locations (including major areas like Seattle, Miami, Boston and Chicago), you can become actively involved in making a real difference. At City Year, we believe education is the starting point and that's why it is the single largest priority area for AmeriCorps this year.
